Appendicitis (intestinal disorders), fever arising out of disorder in the entrails, diseases arising from sorrow, fainting or swoon, phlegmatic disorder, ear trouble, giddiness, trouble in connection with temple matters, torture for knocking off hoarded wealth, harm resulting from the curses of Brahmins and Gods, diseases engendered by Kinnaras, Yakshas, Gods, serpents, and Vidyadharas, etc. (a class of demi-gods), and troubles arising from serious offences done to wise men and elders — all these are indicated by Jupiter.

अब बृहस्पति के कारण जो रोग, क्लेश आदि होते हैं वह सब बताते हैं। (१) गुल्म, पेट का फोड़ा-रसोली आदि का रोग, एपिन्डिसाइटिज़ (२) अंतड़ियों का ज्वर (मोती झरा) (३) मूर्छा — यह सब रोग कफ के दोष से होते हैं क्योंकि कफ का अधिष्ठाता बृहस्पति है (४) कान के रोग (५) देव स्थान सम्बन्धी पीड़ा अर्थात्‌ मन्दिर आदि की जायदाद लेकर मुकद्दमेबाजी (६) ब्राह्मणों के शाप से कष्ट (७) किसी ख़ज़ाने, ट्रस्ट या बैंक के मामलों के कारण कलह या अदालती कार्रवाई (८) विद्याधर, यक्ष-किन्नर, देवता, सर्प आदि के द्वारा किया हुआ उपद्रव (९) अपने गुरुओं — माननीयों तथा बड़ों के साथ किया हुआ अभद्र या अशिष्ट व्यवहार या उनके प्रति कर्तव्य पालन न किया हो तो उस अपराध का दंड बृहस्पति की दशा, अन्तर्दशा में होता है — यह दैवी नियम है।
