I read your chartbecause I have one too.

The story of an afternoon in the hills above Dehradun, a wooden room, a stranger who named my daśā in fifteen seconds, and the six-year fire that has not gone out.

A wooden room. A stranger. Fifteen seconds.

I had gone to Dehradun to think about leaving Ahmedabad. Not dramatically — just quietly, the way you start to wonder whether a city is still the right one for you. I had been carrying that thought for months, and the hills felt like the kind of place where you could put it down and look at it from a distance.

On one of those afternoons, walking through town, I ran into my school Sanskrit teacher — Arvind Narayan Mishra sir. Twenty-three years since I had last seen him. We talked for a long time — the way you do when a thread you did not know was still alive walks up to you in daylight. Before we parted, he said there was someone in the hills I should meet.

His name was Ajay Parmar.

Ajay sir lived in a very large bungalow in the hills above Dehradun. The house was unusual — one side of it hung out over the slope, propped on tall pillars, so that part of the building seemed to lean toward the valley rather than sit on it. He took me into a small wooden room on the ground floor. There was a staircase going up from one corner of that room. I asked him about it.

He smiled and said: those are mine. I use them when I want to connect with souls.

It sounded like a line from a film. But the energy in that room was not a line from a film. You could feel it. We sat down. He looked at me for a few seconds without saying anything.

Then he asked, in the most ordinary tone in the world, if I was in pain. He specified the place: a urinary tract infection. Was that what I was feeling?

I had not told a single person. It had started the day before, in Ahmedabad. No one in Dehradun knew. The room had been empty of any clue. He had read me from the chair across the table, in the space of a breath.

I said yes. Quietly.

He nodded and then, without theatrics, explained the logic. Venus mahādaśā. Ketu antardaśā. The lord of the genitourinary system was running its twenty-year chapter, and the planet of sudden inflammation had just begun its sub-period inside it. That is the textbook signature, he said.

He read for a few more minutes — accurate, specific, unhurried — and then he said something that I am still, six years later, working out the meaning of:

You are a saint. Jupiter sits on your ascendant. This is not your normal life. From here on, you will be in astrology research. Start with Laghu Parāśarī, if you find any of this interesting.

I never went back to that wooden room. I never saw Ajay sir again. But the afternoon set something on fire that has not, since then, gone out.

I went home. I watched everything I could find on YouTube — channel after channel, hour after hour. Then I started reading books. It did not feel like learning new material. It felt like remembering. Three years became six. The fire is still on. This site is what it built.

विंशोत्तरी-दशा·What He Was Reading

The daśā chain on that afternoon.

For the reader who knows Jyotiṣa — the exact chain that was active when Ajay sir read me.

01महादशा

Mahādaśā

Venus21 Nov 2000 → 21 Nov 2020

The twenty-year chapter. Venus rules the urinary and reproductive system. A long Venus period is the textbook backdrop for issues that land in exactly that area.

02अन्तर्दशा

Antardaśā

Ketu22 Sep 2019 → 21 Nov 2020

Ketu is fire without form — sudden, hidden, inflammatory. Venus organ + Ketu inflammation = textbook UTI signature.

03प्रत्यन्तर्दशा

Pratyantardaśā

Moon17 Jan 2020 → 22 Feb 2020

The Moon-PD had begun nine days before I met him. Inside Venus / Ketu, this is the window where pain becomes conscious, naming becomes possible.

04सूक्ष्म

Sūkṣma

Rāhu22 Jan · 17:35 → 28 Jan · 01:25

Rāhu is the planet of strange encounters — foreign meetings, things that arrive uninvited. Less than 96 hours old when I walked into that wooden room.

Full chain · 26 Jan 2020, ~5 PM ISTVenus/Ketu/Moon/Rāhu
दीक्षा·Ayodhyā · December 2024

Four years after Dehradun, the path asked to be formalized.

In December 2024, in Ayodhyā, I received dīkṣā in the Vaiṣṇava paramparā of Pujya Sri Nritya Gopal Das ji Maharaj — Peethādhīśvara of Maṇi Rām Dās Ki Chāvani, President of the Shri Rām Janmabhūmi Tīrtha Kṣetra Trust. He was personally present.

Guru Dīkṣā in Ayodhyā, December 2024
Dīkṣā in Ayodhyā · December 2024In the paramparā of Pujya Sri Nritya Gopal Das ji Maharaj · Maṇi Rām Dās Ki Chāvani

The daśā chain on that morning was Sun → Mercury → Venus → Jupiter — the four planets of dharma, mantra, soul, and guru, sub-dividing each other in that exact order. The chart did not say approximately December 2024. It said this morning, in this window.

The mantra I received is a sacred Rām-mantra. I have chanted it every day since.

Why this is on the page: receiving dīkṣā makes me a śiṣya with a path — and a quiet responsibility to use what I have been given for something other than commerce. This is the actual reason VedicPupil refuses paid remedies, gemstone sales, and fee-for-puja arrangements. Not as a marketing position. As a vow.

I feel like I owe my life to Sanātana Dharma and my Shri Rām.

द्विधा-मार्गः·Two Threads That Met That Day

I had been carrying two lives in parallel.
They converged in the wooden room.

One thread was code — fifteen years of shipping software. The other was the stars — a lifelong inheritance that became serious study only after Dehradun.

कर्म-धारा·The Code Thread

  • 2008 → First job out of campus. Infosys Technologies. Enterprise engineering, large systems, code review.
  • Dec 2010 → Left Infosys. Started Ommune as an independent studio.
  • 2011 onward → Builds for international clients across the US, UK, Australia, UAE.
  • 2018 → Co-founded UnlistedZone — an unlisted-shares trading platform.
  • 2024 → Co-founded TourTripX — a travel CRM platform.
  • 2024–2026 → Transition into the AI-native build cycle.
  • May 2026 → VedicPupil itself. The first product where the two threads — code and chart — were no longer separate.

ज्योतिष-धारा·The Jyotiṣa Thread

  • Childhood → Sanskrit at school under Arvind Narayan Mishra sir — the same teacher I would run into in Dehradun twenty-three years later.
  • Twenties → Reading charts for friends. Free, occasional, no method.
  • 26 Jan 2020 → Dehradun. The wooden room. Ajay sir. Fifteen seconds. The fire is lit.
  • 2020–2023 → YouTube into the night. Books — Laghu Parāśarī, Bṛhat Parāśara Horā Śāstra, Phaladīpikā, Jaimini Sūtras, Sāravalī.
  • Dec 2024 → Dīkṣā in Ayodhyā. The path formalized.
  • May 2026 → VedicPupil is built. Six years of study finally converge into a product.
  • Today → The fire is still on.
चतुष्टय-पद्धतिः·Why the 4-Axis Method

No single line of a chart tells the whole truth.

Every astrology app on the internet asks you for your birth date and gives you a sun sign. Your sun sign is one variable in a twelve-house system with twenty-seven nakshatras and a hundred-and-twenty-year Vimśottarī timing cycle.

Four answers came back, and they have held under every chart I have read since:

  • The Ascendant — the body, the action style, the way the person walks into a room.
  • The Moon sign — the climate inside. The emotional weather beneath every decision.
  • The Moon's nakshatra lord — the karmic theme this birth was issued under.
  • The Ātmakāraka — the soul's own chosen lesson. The planet at the highest degree in the chart.

Twelve × twelve × nine × seven = 9,072 unique combinations. The 4-Axis Method is what came out of taking that seriously.

कस्य कृते·Who This Is For · And Who It Is Not

The audience is narrow on purpose.

This is for

  • Founders weighing real decisions — raise, hire, sell, partner, persist
  • Business owners at inflection points
  • Senior professionals at career transitions
  • Families with succession planning needs
  • NRIs deciding to return or stay
  • Seekers who want to live dharmically — not just predict the future
  • People who have already made money and now need clarity, not luck

This is not for

  • Daily horoscopes and sun-sign content
  • Commercialized remedies — gemstones, paid yajnas, tantric solutions
  • Quick yes-or-no answers
  • Entertainment or curiosity browsing
  • Fortune-telling, fate prediction, doom forecasting
  • Anyone unwilling to pay for considered counsel

If you are not sure which side you belong on, that is fine — the right people usually know.

कार्य-पद्धति·How I Work

One conversation. Your chart. Bhakti-mārga only, if any.

01

You write

Email me at support@vedicpupil.in with your birth details and the question that brought you here. One question. The real one.

02

I read

I spend a few hours with the chart before we speak. Vimśottarī timeline, 4-axis combination, varga charts most relevant.

03

We talk

60-minute WhatsApp video call. Direct. Honest. I tell you what the chart says, what it does not say, and where the uncertainty lives.

04

You receive

A written summary within a week. Yours to keep. Yours to return to.

A few things I will not do

  • No remedy commerce. No gemstones, no yajnas, no kavachas, no paid pujas of any kind. If the chart suggests devotion, I may recommend a simple Bhakti-mārga practice. Free. Personal. Not a transaction.
  • No predictions of specific outcomes. The chart names the season; you make the call.
  • No subscriptions, no monthly readings. You return when the question demands it.
  • No upsells. One consultation is one consultation.

यदि भवान् पठितवान्·If You Have Read This Far

You probably already know
whether this is for you.

Almost no one reads this far. If you have, the question is not really whether VedicPupil is for you — it is whether the question you came in with is one you want to sit with seriously.

If it is, write.
