High fever dominated by vitiated bile, burning of the whole body, epilepsy, heart-disease, eye-trouble, danger from enemies, skin-disease, lucaria (Astthisruti), danger from wood, fire, weapon and poison, trouble to one's wife, children, and fear of quadruped, thief, the sovereign, the God Yama, serpent and God Siva — all these may be caused by the Sun.

जब सूर्य रोग कारक ग्रह होता है तब निम्नलिखित रोगों की सम्भावना होती है, या यह समझिये कि सूर्य निम्नलिखित रोग और क्लेशों का कारक है। (१) पित्त (२) उष्ण ज्वर (बुखार) (३) शरीर में जलन रहना (४) अपस्मार (मिर्गी) (५) हृदय रोग (हार्ट डिज़ीज) (६) नेत्र रोग (७) नाभि से नीचे प्रदेश में या कोख में बीमारी (८) चर्मरोग (९) अस्थि स्रुति (१०) शत्रुओं से भय (११) काष्ठ (१२) अग्नि, अस्त्र या विष से पीड़ा (१३) स्त्री या पुत्रों से पीड़ा (१४) चोर या चौपायों से भय (१५) सर्प से भय (१६) राजा, धर्मराज (यम), भगवान्‌ भूतेश (रुद्र) से भय होता है।
