Anything about diseases ought to be divined through (1) the planets posited in the 6th house, (2) those posited in the 8th and 12th houses, (3) the planet owning the 6th house, or (4) those in conjunction with that planet. The particular disease may be predicted if the same happens to be signified by two, three or more independent Yogas.

इस अध्याय में रोग, मृत्यु, पूर्व जन्म और भविष्य जन्म के विषय में बताया गया है। १. रोग के विषय में नीचे लिखे हुए ग्रहों से विचार करना चाहिये — (क) जो ग्रह छठे घर में हों (ख) जो ग्रह अष्टम में हों (ग) जो ग्रह बारहवें घर में हों (घ) छठे घर के मालिक से (ङ) जो ग्रह छठे घर के मालिक के साथ हों। इस प्रकार इन ग्रहों के विचार से, दो तीन प्रकार से जब एक ही रोग निर्दिष्ट मालूम पड़े तब वह रोग होगा यह नतीजा निकालना चाहिये।
