The aggregate number of Pindayurdaya years assigned to the several planets from the Sun onwards (in their highest exaltation point) are respectively 19, 25, 15, 12, 15, 21 and 20. All the reductions should be gone through as before. When a malefic planet is present in the Lagna, take only the minutes, seconds, etc., indicating the Lagna leaving out the signs. Multiply the total Ayus by this and divide by 360. The whole Ayurdaya should be reduced by this result. If the Lagna be aspected by a benefic, the period to be subtracted will be only half of the above result. So say those well-versed in the Ayurdaya system.

सूर्य आदि ग्रह यदि अपनी उच्च राशि में परमोच्च अंश पर हों तो प्रत्येक ग्रह के निम्नलिखित वर्ष होते हैं — सूर्य १९, चन्द्रमा २५, मंगल १५, बुध १२, बृहस्पति १५, शुक्र २१ तथा शनि २० वर्ष। यदि नीच राशि-परम नीच अंश में हो तो ० (कुछ नहीं)। मध्य में अनुपात से लगाना। जो ह्रास तथा वृद्धि के नियम अंशायु के लिये बताये गये हैं वे इस पिण्डायु में भी लागू करना। यदि कोई क्रूर ग्रह लग्न में हो तो जितने अंश-कला लग्न के हों उनकी कला बना लीजिये (राशि के अंश-कला नहीं बनाये जाते — केवल अंश-कला की कला बनायी जाती है)। इनका, जो आयु ग्रह-प्रदत्त आयुओं का जोड़ आवे — उससे गुणा कर ३६० का भाग दीजिये। जो भजनफल आवे उसको पूर्ण आयु में घटा दीजिये। यदि लग्न में शुभ ग्रह हो तो पापग्रह होने पर जितना घटाते उसका आधा घटाइये — ऐसा विद्वानों का मत है।
