The following are the places frequented by the Sun: a temple belonging to Siva, an open area, an open place where there is light, a region destitute of water, and the Eastern quarter. The Moon's abodes are: the place where Goddess Parvati is kept, the spot occupied by a female, a place where there is water, a herb or plant, a spot where honey or liquor is kept, and the North-west quarter. The places resorted to by thieves, or occupied by low people, one where there is fire, a battle-field, and the Southern quarter are declared to belong to Mars. Mercury governs the places frequented by learned men, the spot where God Vishnu is kept, an assembly, a recreation ground, a mathematical hall, and the Northern quarter.

अब ग्रहों के स्थान बताते हैं। सूर्य के स्थान — शिव-मन्दिर, खुला हुआ मैदान, प्रकाश वाला खुला स्थान, जलहीन प्रदेश तथा पूर्व दिशा। चन्द्रमा के स्थान — पार्वती-मन्दिर, स्त्रियों के रहने का स्थान, जलयुक्त स्थान, औषधि या लता-पौधे, मधु या मद्य रखने का स्थान तथा वायव्य (उत्तर-पश्चिम) दिशा। मंगल के स्थान — चोरों के अड्डे, नीच लोगों के रहने के स्थान, अग्नि वाले स्थान, युद्धभूमि तथा दक्षिण दिशा। बुध के स्थान — विद्वानों की सभा, विष्णु-मन्दिर, सभा-स्थान, विहार-स्थल (आमोद-प्रमोद की जगह), गणित-शाला (पाठशाला) तथा उत्तर दिशा।
