Mercury is green as the blade of Durva or panic grass. He is a mixture of the three humours — Vata (wind), Pittha (bile) and Kapha (phlegm). His body is full of veins. He is pleasant in his speech. He has red and long eyes and is clad in green. He governs the skin, is fond of fun and possesses even limbs.

बुध — दूर्वा-लता के समान श्याम-वर्ण देह, त्रिधातु मिश्र (वात, पित्त, कफ़ तीनों दोषों का मिश्रण), सिराओं वाला (नाड़ियों से युक्त), मधुर-वचन, लाल और लम्बे नेत्र, हरित वस्त्र, त्वक्-सार (त्वचा का अधिष्ठाता), हास्य-रुचि वाला, सम-अंग वाला (सब अंग एक से सुगठित) — ये बुध के लक्षण हैं।
