The Ayurdaya whose initial portion consists of the years due to the elapsed Ghatikas of a Yogatara at a birth, whereof the lord is one of the nine planets from the Sun onwards — this Ayurdaya is called Dasayus or more commonly Nakshatradasayus. The last is the Ayus derived from Ashtakavarga wherein, say those conversant with it, is treated everything to be known.
