The dasa periods of the several planets will be only so much as have been contributed by them for the Ayus of the native. When there are several planets together for consideration, precedence should be given to the planet which predominates in strength. When there is equality in strength, that which gives a longer lease of Ayurdaya will have its turn first. When there is equality even in regard to the period of Ayurdaya of the planets, that which rises first after being eclipsed by the Sun gets its dasa prior to its fellows.

विभिन्न ग्रहों की दशा-अवधियाँ केवल उतनी ही होंगी जितनी उन्होंने जातक की आयु में योगदान किया हो। जब विचार के लिए कई ग्रह एक साथ हों, तो जो बल में प्रधान हो उसे प्राथमिकता दी जानी चाहिए। बल में समानता होने पर जो दीर्घतर आयुर्दाय प्रदान करे उसकी बारी पहले आएगी। आयुर्दाय में भी समानता होने पर जो सूर्य से ग्रहण के पश्चात् सर्वप्रथम उदित हो, उसकी दशा सहचरों से पूर्व प्राप्त होगी।
