Of the Lagna, the Sun and the Moon, whichever is strongest will have its dasa first. Then will come in the first portion of the life the dasas of the planets in the Kendra position with respect to the strongest of the aforesaid three; the dasas of the planets placed in the succedent houses will occur next, viz., in the middle portion of the life; and the dasas of planets in the cadent houses will happen in the concluding portion of the person's life. If there be no such planet in the Kendra and Panaphara houses, it does not mean that there are no ripening of dasas in those particular portions of the life. The dasas of planets in the Apoklima house will then ripen in the first period of life.

लग्न, सूर्य और चन्द्र — इन तीनों में से जो सबसे बलवान हो, उसकी दशा सर्वप्रथम चलेगी। तदुपरान्त जीवन के प्रथम भाग में उन ग्रहों की दशाएँ आएँगी जो उपर्युक्त तीनों में से सर्वाधिक बलवान के संदर्भ में केन्द्र स्थान में स्थित हों; पणफर भावों में स्थित ग्रहों की दशाएँ मध्य भाग में होंगी; तथा आपोक्लिम भावों में स्थित ग्रहों की दशाएँ जीवन के अन्तिम भाग में आएँगी। यदि केन्द्र अथवा पणफर भावों में कोई ग्रह न हो, तो इसका अर्थ यह नहीं कि जीवन के उन विशेष कालखण्डों में कोई दशा परिपक्व नहीं होगी। ऐसी स्थिति में आपोक्लिम के ग्रहों की दशाएँ जीवन के प्रथम भाग में परिपक्व होंगी।
