A holy bath in Rameswaram, engaging oneself in reciting the accounts of a venerable and a revered personage, worship of God Siva, observance of vows with reference to (propitiating) God Vishnu, gifts, ceremonies in honour of departed spirits, installation of the serpent deity — these are the various modes recommended by which one can attain progeny.

ऊपर के श्लोक में उल्लेख आया है कि विविध शुभ क्रिया करे। इस श्लोक में यह बताते हैं कि कौन-कौन सी शुभ-क्रिया करने से सन्तान प्रतिबन्धक दोष की शान्ति होकर पुत्र प्राप्ति हो सकती है: सेतुस्नान (समुद्र-स्नान), सत्‌कथाओं का कीर्तन, शम्भु पूजा, भगवान्‌ विष्णु के व्रत, दान, श्राद्ध, नाग-प्रतिष्ठा (सर्प देवता की मूर्ति की प्रतिष्ठा) आदि को करने से सन्तान प्राप्ति हो सकती है।
