Add together the figures representing the positions of Jupiter, the Moon and Mars in the case of female horoscopes. If the result denotes an even Rasi and an even Navamsa, the strength of fecundity in the female for producing offspring is assured. If it is mixed (i.e., Rasi male and Amsa female or vice versa), there will be children only after a great effort. If the sum-total of the figures denoting the positions of the Sun, Venus and Jupiter signify an odd Rasi and an odd Navamsa, it denotes that the virility in the male to produce offspring is very strong; and in case one of the two (Rasi and Navamsa) be even, one has to predict a mixed result.

इस श्लोक में यह बताया गया है कि किसी पुरुष की जन्मकुण्डली देखकर यह कैसे बताना कि इस पुरुष के वीर्य में सन्तान उत्पन्न करने की ताक़त है या नहीं और किसी स्त्री की जन्मकुण्डली देखकर यह कैसे बताना कि इसमें सन्तान उत्पन्न करने की ताक़त है या नहीं। पहले पुरुष की कुण्डली का विचार किया गया है। पुरुष की कुण्डली में सूर्य-स्पष्ट, शुक्र-स्पष्ट और बृहस्पति-स्पष्ट अर्थात्‌ सूर्य, बृहस्पति, शुक्र इन तीनों ग्रहों की राशि, अंश, कला, विकला जोड़ लीजिए। इनके जोड़ने पर यदि ऊनी राशि, ऊना नवांश आवे तो समझिये कि इस पुरुष के वीर्य में पुत्र उत्पन्न करने की पूर्ण क्षमता है। यदि राशि और नवांश इनमें से एक ऊना, एक पूरा आवे तो मिला-जुला फल समझिये और यदि सम राशि, सम नवांश आवे तो समझिये कि इस पुरुष में पुत्रोत्पत्ति की क्षमता नहीं है। यदि स्त्री की कुण्डली का विचार करना हो तो उसकी कुण्डली का चन्द्र-स्पष्ट, मंगल-स्पष्ट और बृहस्पति-स्पष्ट (अर्थात्‌ इन तीनों ग्रहों की राशि, अंश, कला, विकला जोड़िये) जो जोड़ आवे वह यदि सम राशि, सम नवांश में हो तो उस स्त्री में सन्तान उत्पन्न करने की पूर्ण क्षमता समझनी चाहिए। राशि और नवांश इन दोनों में एक सम, एक विषम आवे तो आधी क्षमता और दोनों विषम आवें तो पूर्ण अक्षमता समझनी चाहिये।
