In the year indicated by the figure obtained by (1) adding the figures (of benefic dots) in the houses occupied by benefic planets, and (2) then multiplying the same by 7, and (3) dividing the result by 27 — should the year indicating anything auspicious be intimated. On such an occasion, one will, without doubt, obtain issue, wealth, happiness, etc.

जैसे शनि, मंगल, राहु — इन पापग्रहों की राशि तक या इन पापग्रहों वाली राशि से लग्न तक — सर्वाष्टकवर्ग बिन्दु-योग से कष्ट-वर्ष का ज्ञान हो जाता है, वैसे ही (१) लग्न से शुभ ग्रह जहाँ स्थित हो (२) शुभ ग्रह जहाँ स्थित हो वहाँ से लग्न तक — सब राशियों के बिन्दु जोड़कर ७ से गुणा कर २७ से भाग देने से शुभ-वर्ष निकालना चाहिये। बलवान् चन्द्रमा — जिसमें पक्ष-बल अधिक हो और पापग्रह के साथ न बैठा हो; बुध — पापग्रह के साथ न हो; शुक्र और बृहस्पति — शुभ ग्रह हैं। इन शुभ वर्षों में पुत्र-जन्म, धनागम आदि शुभ फल होते हैं।
