Find the Rasi and Navamsa occupied by the lords of the 1st and the 7th houses in a person's nativity. The Janma Rasi of the wife will be a sign triangular to the aforesaid Rasi or Navamsa, or it may be the exaltation or depression Rasi of the lords of the 1st and the 7th; or it will be that Rasi which contains the largest number of benefic dots in the Moon's Ashtakavarga table of the husband.

पुरुष की कुंडली में यह देखिये कि लग्नेश और सप्तमेश किस राशि और किस नवाँश में हैं। ऐसी राशि या नवांश की त्रिकोण राशि स्त्री की जन्म-राशि होगी, या पति की कुंडली में लग्नेश या सप्तमेश की उच्च-राशि या नीच-राशि स्त्री की जन्म-राशि होगी; या पति के चन्द्राष्टकवर्ग में जिस राशि में सबसे अधिक शुभ-बिन्दु होंगे — वह स्त्री की जन्म-राशि होगी।
