The full period of life in the case of men has been declared as 120 years (12×10) by some. Others there are who have stated that the full life-period will be the time taken by Saturn to make 3 complete revolutions (in his orbit). There is a third school who say that the full life-period of a man is the time taken by the Moon for making 1000 revolutions. But we are of opinion that the full period of man's life in this Kaliyuga is only 100 years as stated in the Vedas.

कुछ लोगों ने मनुष्य की पूर्ण आयु १२० वर्ष कही है। कुछ अन्य की राय है कि शनि को ३ भ्रमण करने में जितना समय लगे — उतनी मनुष्य की परमायु होती है। तीसरा मत यह है कि चन्द्रमा को १००० (एक हजार) परिभ्रमण में जितना समय लगता है उतनी परमायु होती है। लेकिन हमारा विचार है कि कलियुग में वेदोक्त १०० वर्ष पूर्ण आयु होती है। श्रुति का वाक्य है — 'शतायुर्वै पुरुषः'।
