It is through the Sun that a wise man ought to ascertain about a person's copper, gold, father, anything auspicious, one's own self, happiness, prowess, courage, power, victory in war, service under the sovereign, glory, any work relating to the God Siva, trip to forest or mountainous regions, taking an active part in Homas or Yajnas, temple, acuteness and enthusiasm.

ताँबा, सोना, पिता, शुभ फल (अर्थात् अपना शुभ), धैर्य, शौर्य (पराक्रम), युद्ध में विजय, आत्मा, सुख, प्रताप, राजसेवा, शक्ति, प्रकाश, भगवान् शिव सम्बन्धी कार्य, वन (जंगल) या पहाड़ में यात्रा, होम (हवन) कार्य में प्रवृत्ति, देवस्थान (मन्दिर), तीक्ष्णता, उत्साह आदि का विचार बुद्धिमान् मनुष्य सूर्य से करे। अर्थात् सूर्य उपर्युक्त का कारक है।
