सर्वत्र सप्तम दृष्टि को ही श्रेष्ठ समझना चाहिये। अन्य दृष्टि (नवम, पंचम आदि) का वह प्रभाव नहीं है। किन्तु कुछ अन्य आचार्यों का मत है कि जहाँ योग का विचार करना हो वहाँ गुरु की नवम-पंचम (विशेष दृष्टि), मंगल की चतुर्थ-अष्टम (विशेष दृष्टि) तथा शनि की तृतीय-दशम (विशेष दृष्टि) भी सप्तम की भाँति ही पूर्ण फल देने वाली होती है।
