The three asterisms — viz. Janma, Anujanma (10th from Janma), Trijanma (19th from Janma) — falling on a day identical with the Sun's Saṅkramaṇa (Sun's entry into a new Rasi) or at a time when any of the other planets transit from one Rasi to another, or when there is an eclipse, planetary war (Graha-yuddha) or a fall of meteors (Ulkā-nipāta) or other unexpected occurrence, death or a similar untoward event should be expected.

(१) जिस दिन सूर्य का एक राशि से दूसरी राशि में संक्रमण हो, (२) या अन्य ग्रह का किसी राशि में संक्रमण हो, (३) ग्रहण हो, (४) ग्रह-युद्ध हो, (५) उल्का-निपात हो, या (६) कोई अद्भुत 'आकाशी चमत्कार' हो — उस दिन यदि जन्म-नक्षत्र, अनुजन्म (जन्म-नक्षत्र से दसवाँ नक्षत्र) तथा त्रिजन्म (जन्म-नक्षत्र से उन्नीसवाँ) नक्षत्र पर वेध हो तो मृत्यु आदि दुःखदायक फल होता है।
