If there should be enmity between the lord of a Bhava and that of the Lagna due to natural or temporal causes, or their being posited in the 6th and 8th places with respect to each other, envy, rivalry or jealousy will arise to the native with the person denoted by the Bhava during the transit of these planets. But if there should be friendship — natural or temporary — between the aforesaid two planets, one ought to predict new friendship being formed when the planets also conjoin in their transit.

जिस भावेश की और लग्नेश की तात्कालिक या नैसर्गिक या एक-दूसरे से षष्ठ-अष्टम रहने के कारण शत्रुता हो — उन दोनों का, लग्नेश और उस भावेश का, जब गोचरवश योग हो तो उस भाव सम्बन्धी शत्रुता, स्पर्धा या कलह का कारण होना चाहिये। किन्तु यदि लग्नेश और किसी भावेश की नैसर्गिक और तात्कालिक मित्रता हो और लग्नेश तथा उस भावेश का गोचरवश योग हो तो उस भाव सम्बन्धी सुख, नवीन मित्रता आदि कहना। आगे तेईसवें अध्याय में एक कुण्डली दी गयी है उसमें लग्नेश सूर्य है और षष्ठेश शनि है, दोनों नैसर्गिक शत्रु भी हैं और तात्कालिक भी, और एक दूसरे से छठे-आठवें हैं — इसलिये जब-जब सूर्य-शनि योग होगा तब-तब शत्रु-सम्बन्धी त्रास होगा। उसी कुण्डली में सूर्य लग्नेश है तथा बृहस्पति पंचमेश है; दोनों नैसर्गिक मित्र भी हैं और तात्कालिक भी — इस कारण जब-जब सूर्य और बृहस्पति का योग होगा तब-तब पंचम भाव सम्बन्धी शुभ-प्राप्ति होगी।
