If at a birth the lord of the 6th house be in a Dusstthana, identical with its depression or inimical sign or be eclipsed by the Sun's rays and if the lord of the Lagna be stronger than him and if the Sun be in the 9th house, the destruction of the enemies of the native may be declared.

यदि षष्ठेश दुःस्थान में (६, ८, या १२ में), नीच राशि या शत्रु राशि में या अस्त हो और षष्ठेश की अपेक्षा लग्नेश बलवान् हो तथा सूर्य नवम में हो तो जातक शत्रु पर विजयी होता है और शत्रु का नाश होता है। इस श्लोक में पाठान्तर भी है जिसके अनुसार पाठ हो जायेगा 'शत्रुनाशो रिपौ शुभे'। ऐसा पाठ मानने से 'सूर्य नवम में हो' की बजाय अर्थ होगा — छठे घर में शुभग्रह हो तो शत्रु पर जातक विजयी होता है।
