(1) Malefics in the 6th, (2) the lord of the Lagna in conjunction with or aspected by the lord of the 6th possessed of strength, (3) the same lord posited in the 6th, (4) the lord of the 6th in a Kendra house and (5) in conjunction with or aspected by malefics, will subject the native to constant and intense annoyance from enemies, which cannot be easily remedied.

नीचे कुछ योग दिये हैं जिनमें से किसी के होने से जातक को घोर शत्रु-पीड़ा होती है और वह शत्रु-पीड़ा का निराकरण नहीं कर सकता — (१) पाप ग्रह छठे में हों, (२) लग्नेश बलवान षष्ठेश से दृष्ट या युत हो, (३) छठे घर का स्वामी पाप-ग्रह से दृष्ट या युत केन्द्र में हो। [संस्कृत के मूल श्लोक से एक और भी अर्थ निकलता है कि लग्नेश के छठे घर में होने से भी शत्रु-पीड़ा होती है; यदि बलवान् षष्ठेश से दृष्ट या युत हो तो और अधिक पीड़ा होगी।]
