If Rahu happens to be in the 9th house at a birth, the person concerned will speak opposingly. He will be the head of his clan, the headman of a village or mayor of a city and will commit unrighteous deeds. Rahu in the 10th house makes the native famous; the man will have a limited number of issue, will engage himself in other's business, will not do any good act and will be fearless. If Rahu be in the 11th house, the person born will be prosperous, will not have many children, will be long-lived and will suffer from ear disease. If Rahu should occupy the 12th house, the person concerned will be intent on committing sinful acts secretly, will spend much and will suffer from a water-disease.

यदि नवम में राहु हो तो जातक प्रतिकूल वचन बोलने वाला और अपुण्यवान् होता है (अर्थात् पुण्य-कर्म न करने वाला), किन्तु किसी समुदाय, नगर या ग्राम का नेता होता है। यदि दशम में राहु हो तो थोड़े पुत्र वाला, दूसरे के कार्य में निरत, सत्कर्म-हीन, निर्भय, किन्तु विख्यात हो। यदि एकादश में राहु हो तो लक्ष्मीवान् और दीर्घायु होता है, किन्तु पुत्र थोड़े होते हैं और कान में कोई रोग होता है। द्वादश में राहु का निकृष्ट फल है — ऐसा व्यक्ति किसी जल-रोग से पीड़ित और बहुत अधिक व्यय करने वाला होता है; ऐसा व्यक्ति प्रच्छन्न पाप भी करता है।
