The person at whose birth Ketu occupies the Lagna will be ungrateful, unhappy and bearing tales against others. He will be an outcast, fallen from his position, will have a deformed body and associating with the wicked. Ketu in the 2nd house makes the native devoid of learning and riches. His speech will be very vile in quality, and he will have a sinister look. He will ever be eating at other's tables.

अब केतु का विविध-भावगत-फल बताते हैं। यदि केतु लग्न में हो तो जातक कृतघ्न, सुख-हीन, चुगलखोर, असज्जनों के साथ रहने वाला, विकल-देह (शरीर के किसी अंग में विकलता हो), स्थान-च्युत तथा विवर्ण होता है। 'विवर्ण' शब्द के दो अर्थ हो सकते हैं — वर्ण शब्द के दो अर्थ होते हैं: १. जाति और २. शरीर का रंग; इसलिये विवर्ण का अर्थ हो सकता है जाति-भ्रष्ट, और दूसरा अर्थ हो सकता है जिसके शरीर का रंग अच्छा न हो। यदि केतु दूसरे स्थान में हो तो विद्या-हीन, धन-हीन, निकृष्ट वचन बोलने वाला, कुदृष्टि वाला और दूसरे के यहाँ भोजन करने में निरत होता है। परान्न-निरत होना महान् दोष है।
