If at a person's birth Rahu should be posited in the 5th house, he will talk through the nose, will be childless, will be hard-hearted and suffer from belly-ache. If Rahu be in the 6th house, the person born will be troubled by his enemies, or oppressed by malefic planets (demons). He will suffer from disease in the anus. He will be wealthy and long-lived. When Rahu occupies the 7th house, the person concerned will lose his wealth through intrigues with women, suffer separation from his beloved, lose his manhood, become self-willed and silly. If Rahu occupy the 8th house, the person born will be short-lived, will do impure acts, will be defective of a limb, will suffer from wind-disease and will have limited issue.

यदि पंचम में राहु हो तो पुत्र-हीन, कठोर हृदय और कुक्षि में रोग वाला हो। पेट का नीचे का बगली भाग कुक्षि कहलाता है। ऐसा व्यक्ति नाक से बोलता है — अर्थात् उसके बोलने में अनुनासिकता विशेष रहती है। यदि छठे स्थान में राहु हो तो लक्ष्मीवान् और दीर्घायु हो, किन्तु छठे में राहु गुदा-रोग उत्पन्न करता है; ऐसा व्यक्ति शत्रु द्वारा या क्रूर ग्रह द्वारा पीड़ित भी होता है। यदि सप्तम में राहु हो तो जातक स्वतन्त्र, किन्तु अल्प-बुद्धि वाला हो; स्त्री-संग से धन नष्ट हो जाय। ऐसा व्यक्ति विधुर और अवीर्य (कम पुरुषत्व वाला) हो जाता है। पत्नी-रहित हो जाने को विधुर कहते हैं। यदि अष्टम में राहु हो तो जातक विकल, वात-रोग से पीड़ित, अल्प-सुत वाला, अल्पायु और अशुद्ध कर्म करने वाला होता है।
