If at a birth Jupiter should be posited in the Lagna, the person concerned will be handsome, fortunate, long-lived, fearless, and blessed with children. If Jupiter occupy the 2nd house, the person born will be eloquent, and a good connoisseur in food. He will have a lovely face, will be wealthy and learned. If Jupiter be in the 3rd house at a birth, the person concerned will be treated with disrespect, will be miserly, will have a renowned brother, will commit sins, and will be wickedly-disposed. When Jupiter occupies the 4th house, the person born will live with his mother, friends, attendants, sons, wife, corn, etc., and be happy.

अब बृहस्पति का द्वादश-भाव-फल बताते हैं। यदि लग्न में बृहस्पति हो तो शोभावान्, सत्कर्म करने वाला, दीर्घायु और निर्भय हो; उसे पुत्र-सुख भी प्राप्त हो। यदि द्वितीय में बृहस्पति हो तो बुद्धिमान्, सुन्दर मुख वाला और वाग्मी (बोलने में कुशल) होता है। ऐसे मनुष्य को उत्तम भोजन प्राप्त होते हैं — अर्थात् द्वितीय भाव से जो-जो बातें देखी जाती हैं उन सबका सुख प्राप्त होता है। यदि तृतीय में बृहस्पति हो तो पाप-कर्मा, दुष्ट-बुद्धि वाला, कृपण और अवज्ञा (अनादर) सहित हो; किन्तु उसका भाई किसी प्रतिष्ठित पद पर पहुँचे या विख्यात हो। मूल में 'प्रतीतसहज' शब्द आया है — इसका यह अर्थ भी हो सकता है कि जिसका भाई में विश्वास हो। यदि चतुर्थ में बृहस्पति हो तो माता, मित्र, भृत्य, पुत्र, स्त्री, धान्य आदि का सुख प्राप्त हो और सुखी हो।
