In the several Bhavas, the planets that occupy the exact degrees, etc., signified by any particular Bhava produce the full effect of that Bhava. When a planet is in a Bhavasandhi, it produces no effect. In the case of planets occupying intermediate positions, the effect must be ascertained by a rule-of-three process.

जो ग्रह भाव-मध्य में होते हैं वे उस भाव सम्बन्धी पूर्ण फल दिखाते हैं और जो ग्रह भाव-सन्धि में होते हैं वे शून्य फल दिखाते हैं अर्थात् कुछ फल नहीं दिखाते। यदि भाव-मध्य और भाव-सन्धि के बीच में हों तो जितना ही भाव-मध्य के पास होंगे उतना ही उस भाव सम्बन्धी अधिक फल दिखावेंगे और ग्रह जितना भाव-मध्य से दूर होगा उतना ही उस भाव सम्बन्धी कम फल दिखावेगा। यदि सूक्ष्म विचार करना हो तो त्रैराशिक से यह गणित कर लीजिये कि कितना फल दिखावेगा।
