दशापतिर्लग्नगतो यदि स्यात्
त्रिषट्दशैकादशगश्च लग्नात् ।
तत्सप्तवर्गेऽप्यथ तत्सुहृद्वा
लग्ने शुभो वा शुभदा दशा स्यात्

If the lord of the Dasa in his transit comes to the Lagna or to the 3rd, the 6th, the 10th or the 11th house from it, or if the lord of the Dasa comes to the (Saptavarga) places of the Lagna, or when a friendly planet or a benefic comes to the Lagna, the Dasa will prove auspicious at that time.

जिस ग्रह की दशा हो वह गोचरवश लग्न में, या लग्न से तीसरे, छठे, दसवें या ग्यारहवें यदि आवे तो उसकी दशा शुभ जाती है। या यदि दशानाथ लग्न से सप्तम में आता है तो भी दशा शुभ जाती है। यदि दशानाथ का मित्र गोचरवश लग्न में आवे या कोई शुभ ग्रह गोचरवश लग्न में जा रहा हो तो भी दशा अच्छी जाती है।
