The Dasa of a planet owning a Kendra will be inauspicious if he is a (Subha), and auspicious if he is an (Asubha). The Dasas of all planets who own Trikona houses (1, 5, 9) will be auspicious. The lords of the 3rd, the 6th and the 11th houses even if they be (Subhas) will cause only evil. The lord of the 8th house, if he should also happen to be the lord of the Lagna will prove auspicious. The Sun or the Moon even if he should happen to own the 8th house will give only good effects. These are the effects of the several Dasas according to Parasara's opinion.

यदि केन्द्र का मालिक सौम्य-ग्रह है तो वह अशुभ फल देता है, और यदि केन्द्र का स्वामी अशुभ ग्रह हो तो शुभ फल देता है। त्रिकोण (लग्न से नवें, पाँचवे घर) के स्वामी हमेशा शुभ ही देते हैं। लग्न को केन्द्र-स्थान भी मानते हैं और कोण-स्थान भी, इसलिये लग्नेश सदैव शुभ ही होता है। ३, ६, ११ के स्वामी चाहे शुभ हों, अनर्थ करने वाले ही होते हैं। अष्टमेश यदि लग्नेश भी हो (यह तभी होता है जब जन्म-लग्न मेष या तुला हो) तो शुभ होता है। अष्टमेश यदि सूर्य या चन्द्रमा हो तो भी शुभ फल करते हैं — यह तभी होता है जब धनु या मकर लग्न हो। इससे परिणाम यह निकला कि मेष, तुला, धनु और मकर इन चार लग्नों के अतिरिक्त यदि कोई लग्न हो तो अष्टमेश अशुभ फल ही करता है। ऐसा पराशर का मत है। ग्रह अपनी-अपनी दशा में अपना फल करते हैं।
