The Dasa of a planet occupying a (Vargottamamsa) will give favourable results. It will be mixed when the said planet is eclipsed or is in depression. When the Dasa and Apahara belonging to two planets both of whom own or occupy the 8th, the 12th or the 6th house are in progress, the effect will be unfavourable.

यदि कोई ग्रह वर्गोत्तम में हो तो वह बहुत शुभ फल देता है। किन्तु यदि वर्गोत्तम में होते हुए भी वह ग्रह अपनी नीच राशि में हो या अस्त हो तो अच्छा-बुरा — मिला-जुला फल होता है। ६, ८, १२ इन घरों के मालिकों में से किसी एक की महादशा और किसी अन्य की अन्तर्दशा हो तो अशुभ फल होता है। इसी प्रकार ६, ८ या १२ इन स्थानों में से किसी एक स्थान में बैठे हुए ग्रह की महादशा हो और त्रिक में बैठे हुए ही किसी अन्य ग्रह की अन्तर्दशा हो तो वह भी अशुभ होती है।
