If the 7th bhava is occupied by a planet, the number of wives is declared by astrologers to be the number of planets in conjunction with Venus. Out of the above number, any planet that occupies its Swakshetra or exaltation is to be omitted. If the lord of the 7th bhava occupy the 2nd, identical with a Rasi owned by Venus, the number of wives will be the number of planets associated with Venus; or it may be that the person concerned may get as many new brides as there are planets in conjunction with Venus and the lord of the 7th bhava.
