It is at the outset of the dasa of a malefic planet that the effect of its being in its exaltation or other varga will appear. Its influence over the bhava and the like that it presides over will be felt in the middle of the dasa; while the aspect upon it bears fruit towards the conclusion. This holds good, say the astrologers, in the case of all malefic planets.
