In the Antardasa of Rahu in the Dasa of the Sun, if Rahu be in kendra or trikona from the Ascendant, there will be in the first two months loss of wealth, danger from thieves, snakes, infliction of wounds and distress to wife and children. After 2 months inauspicious effects will disappear and enjoyment and comforts, sound health, satisfaction, favours from the King and government etc. will be the favourable effects, if Rahu be in conjunction with benefics or be in the Navamsa of a benefic. Recognition from the King (government), good fortune, name and fame, some distress to wife and children, birth of son, happiness in the family etc., will be derived if Rahu be in an upachaya house (3,6,10,11) from the Ascendant, be associated with a yogakarka or be placed auspiciously from the lord of the Dasa.

पुत्रोत्सवादिसन्तोषं गृहे कल्याणशोभनम्‌ । (i) सूर्य दशा में राहु की अन्तर्दशा हो तथा राहु लग्न से केन्द्र या त्रिकोण में हो तो पहले दो मास तक धननाश, महान्‌ भय, चोर, सर्पभय, घाव, स्त्री व पुत्रादि को कष्ट होता है । इसके उपरान्त सुख होता है । (ii) यदि राहु शुभ ग्रह से युक्त या शुभ नवांश में हो तो अच्छा स्वास्थ्य, मन में सन्तोष, राजा से मित्रता होती है । (iii) महादशेश से शुभ भावों में राहु हो अथवा 3, 6, 10, 11 भाव में दशापति से गिनने पर हो या योगकारक ग्रह से युक्त हो तो राजसम्मान मिलता है । भाग्यवृद्धि, यशप्राप्ति, पुत्र से सम्बन्धित उत्सव, घर में प्रसन्नता के अवसर होते हैं ।
