The death of the father may be expected if Rahu, Saturn or Mars are in the 4th from the Sun at the time of transit of Saturn through any of the above three Rasis (trikona Rasis). The death of the father will come to pass by such transit if at that time — (1) the Saturn is associated with or aspected by a malefic and is in the 9th from the Ascendant or the Moon, (2) the Dasa of the lord of the 4th from the Ascendant be in operation. The death does not take place if a favourable Dasa be in force at the time of Saturn's transit. This should be kept in mind by the learned while making predictions.

अर्कात्तु तुर्यगे राहौ मन्दे वा भूमिनन्दने । गुरुशुक्रेक्षणमृते पितृहा जायते नरः । । 12 । । पिता का अरिष्ट विचार : (1) पूर्व प्रकार से त्रिकोण नक्षत्रों की राशि में शनि का गोचर हो तथा उसी समय सूर्य राशि से चतुर्थ में राहु हो या शनि हो या मंगल हो तथा गुरु शुक्र की दृष्टि से वह चतुर्थगत राहु सर्वथा रहित हो तो पिता की मृत्यु होती है ।
