CEṢṬĀ RAŚMI: Ceṣṭā-raśmis are to be calculated from Ceṣṭā-kendra similar to Uccha-raśmi computations. The Ceṣṭā-kendras of planets from Mars to Saturn have already been explained. Add 3 rāśis to Sāyana Sun (i.e. Sun with Ayanāṁśa), which will be the Ceṣṭā-kendra for the Sun. The sidereal longitude of the Sun should be deducted from the Moon to get the Moon's Ceṣṭā-kendra. If the Ceṣṭā-kendra (for any planet) is in excess of 6 signs, deduct it from 12 signs. Add 1 sign and multiply the degrees etc. by 2 which will indicate the Ceṣṭā-raśmi of the planet.

चेष्टा-रश्मि साधन: ग्रह के चेष्टा-केन्द्र से उच्च-रश्मि की तरह ही चेष्टा-रश्मि भी ज्ञात कर लें। मंगलादि ग्रहों का चेष्टा-केन्द्र पूर्व-चेष्टा-बल-साधन (कोरपस-27 की मंगल-केन्द्र-विधि) में बता चुके हैं। सूर्य व चन्द्रमा का चेष्टा-केन्द्र — सायन-सूर्य में 3 राशि संयुक्त करने से सूर्य का, एवं चन्द्रमा में से सूर्य को घटाने से चन्द्रमा का चेष्टा-केन्द्र होता है। यह चेष्टा-केन्द्र षड्भाल्प होना चाहिए; यदि 6 राशि से अधिक हो तो 12 राशि (चक्र) में से घटा लें।
