Remedial measures: The person concerned gets release from the curse and is blessed with a son if he undertakes the following remedial measures — (1) Performance of a Pinda dana, (2) Rudra abhisheka, (3) Giving in charity a gold idol of Brahma, a cow, a vessel made of silver and a neelamani (blue gem), (4) Feeding Brahmins and giving them presents in cash (dakṣiṇā).
