Mantras of planets — The mantras of all the planets and the prescribed number of their recitation are given below. The recitation of mantras should be done after worshipping the planets as indicated in verses 15-16 — Sun: ‘आकृष्णेन रजसा’ etc., 7000; Moon: ‘इमं देवा’ etc., 11000; Mars: ‘अग्निर्मूर्धा दिवः ककुत्’ etc., 11000; Mercury: ‘उद्बुध्यस्व’ etc., 9000; Jupiter: ‘बृहस्पते अति’ etc., 19000; Venus: ‘अन्नात् परिश्रुतः’ etc., 16000; Saturn: ‘शन्नो देवीरभीष्टये’ etc., 23000; Rahu: ‘कया नश्चित्र आभुवद्’ etc., 18000; Ketu: ‘केतुं कृण्वन्’ etc., 17000.

सप्तरुद्रा दिशो नन्दा नवचन्द्रा नृपास्तथा । त्रिपक्षा अष्टचन्द्रार्च सप्तचन्द्रास्तथेव च ।। १७ ।। ग्रहों की मन्त्र जप संख्या (सूर्यादि क्रम से): 7000, 11000, 10000, 9000, 19000, 16000, 23000, 18000, 17000।
