CATURAŚĪTI-SAMA DAŚĀ: Caturaśīti-sama Daśā is considered appropriate in cases where the lord of the 10th house is posited in the 10th. Count from Svātī to the Janma Nakshatra and divide this number by 7. The remainder will indicate the Daśā lords in the following order: the Sun, the Moon, Mars, Mercury, Jupiter, Venus and Saturn (Rāhu and Ketu do not get a place in this system). The Daśā of each planet is of 12 years, totaling 84 years.

जब लग्न में सूर्य हो तो षष्ठिवर्षा दशा का विचार करना चाहिए। अश्विनी नक्षत्र से शुरू कर क्रमशः तीन, फिर चार, फिर तीन, पुनः चार — इस प्रकार नक्षत्रों को स्थापित करने से क्रमशः बृहस्पति, सूर्य, मंगल, चन्द्रमा, बुध, शुक्र, शनि और राहु दशेश होते हैं।
