TĀRĀ DAŚĀ: O Brahmin! Some learneds have given consideration to Tārā Daśā which is like Vimśottarī Daśā. In this Daśā, Janma, Sampat etc. in their order replace the Sun, Moon etc. housed in Kendras. This Daśā is applied in those cases only where there are planets in kendras. If there are a number of planets, the first Daśā will belong to the strongest amongst them.

कुछ विद्वानों के मत में विंशोत्तरी के समान ही तारा-दशा होती है। जन्म, सम्पत्, विपत्, क्षेम, प्रत्यरी, साधक, वध, मैत्र और अतिमैत्र — ये नौ तारा-दशाएँ हैं। यह तारा-दशा अपने नाम के समान ही फल देती है। जिसके केन्द्र में ग्रह स्थित हो उसी को यह दशा होती है।
