SANDHYĀ DAŚĀ: Sandhyā is the Dvādaśāṁśa Āyurdāya of the Paramāyurdāya (maximum possible life span). In Sandhyā Daśā the Daśā of all the signs from Lagna onwards is of 1/12 of the years of Paramāyurdāya. Example: with Aquarius ascendant and 120-year Paramāyurdāya, the Daśā of all signs commencing from Aquarius will be of 10 years each.

परमायु (120 वर्ष) का 12वाँ भाग सन्ध्या होता है; उतने ही वर्षों की लग्नेश आदि की क्रमशः सन्ध्या-दशा होती है। सन्ध्या को 6 से गुणाकर 31 का भाग देने से जो लब्धि हो उसे प्रथम कोष्ठ में रखें; उसके आधे को अगले तीन कोष्ठों में और उसके तिहाई को अगले आठ कोष्ठों में लिखने से 12 भावों की पाचक-दशा होती है।
