Lips: If the lower lip of a woman is red like a lotus, smooth, divided in the middle and good looking, she becomes a queen. If it be without flesh, coarse, long, dry and blackish, it is indicative of misery and widowhood. If the upper lip of a woman is pink coloured, smooth and slightly raised in the middle, it is indicative of happiness and good fortune. If otherwise, it will be inauspicious.

अधर अर्थात् निचला होंठ लालिमा लिए हुए, गोलाई युक्त, चिकना, बीच में रेखा से युक्त, मनोहर हो तो स्त्री रानी होती है अर्थात् उसे समस्त भौतिक सुख व अधिकार प्राप्त होते हैं।
