नितम्ब भाग ऊँचा, उठा हुआ, मांसल, पुष्ट (थुलथुल नहीं) बड़ा हो तो सुख व सौभाग्य का सूचक होता है। इसके विपरीत दबे हुए, मांस हीन, हिलते-डोलते से, कमर की चौड़ाई से चौड़ न हों तो दुःखदायक होते हैं।
