A shrine, a watery place, a fire place, a pleasure ground, a treasury, a bed chamber and a heap of rubbish are to be assigned as the places of the planets from the Sun onwards. The articles of apparel appropriate for the Sun and other planets are a thick cloth, a new fine robe, one singed by fire, a cloth washed in water, an ordinary garment, a durable mantle, and a rag respectively. The substances ascribed to the planets from the Sun onwards are copper, gems, gold, alloy of metals, silver, pearls and iron. The lords of the six seasons reckoning from Sisira are Saturn, Venus, Mars, the Moon, Mercury and Jupiter according to the Drekkanas or third portions of a sign presided over by them.

सूर्य से आरम्भ होने वाले ग्रहों के स्थान क्रमशः मन्दिर, जलीय स्थान, अग्नि-स्थान, क्रीड़ास्थल, कोषागार, शयनकक्ष और कूड़े का ढेर हैं। सूर्य आदि ग्रहों के उपयुक्त वस्त्र क्रमशः मोटा कपड़ा, नई महीन पोशाक, जला हुआ वस्त्र, जल में धुला कपड़ा, साधारण वस्त्र, टिकाऊ चादर और चिथड़ा हैं। सूर्य से आरम्भ होने वाले ग्रहों की धातुएँ क्रमशः ताम्र, रत्न, स्वर्ण, मिश्र-धातु, रजत, मोती और लोहा हैं। शिशिर से आरम्भ होने वाले छः ऋतुओं के स्वामी — उनके अधीन द्रेष्काणों के अनुसार — क्रमशः शनि, शुक्र, मंगल, चन्द्र, बुध और गुरु हैं।
