If, at a birth, the Sun occupy the 3rd house from the Lagna, the person concerned will possess a good intellect and great strength. If the Sun be in the 4th house, the person born will have no happiness and will be troubled in mind. If the Sun should occupy the 5th house from the Lagna, the person concerned will be childless and without wealth. If the Sun be in the 6th house, the person born will be powerful but will be overpowered by his enemies.

यदि जन्म-समय में सूर्य लग्न से तृतीय भाव में हो, तो सम्बन्धित व्यक्ति अच्छी बुद्धि और महान बल का स्वामी होगा। यदि सूर्य चतुर्थ भाव में हो, तो जन्म लेने वाले को सुख नहीं होगा और मन व्याकुल रहेगा। यदि सूर्य लग्न से पंचम भाव में हो, तो सम्बन्धित व्यक्ति सन्तानहीन और धनहीन होगा। यदि सूर्य षष्ठ भाव में हो, तो जन्म लेने वाला व्यक्ति शक्तिशाली होगा किन्तु अपने शत्रुओं द्वारा परास्त होगा।
