When the Moon occupies the 6th or the 8th place from the Lagna and is aspected by malignant planets, the death of the new-born infant follows quickly. If the Moon in the position described be aspected by benefic planets, the child will live 8 years. If aspected by benefic and malefic planets mixed together, it will live only 4 years. If the lord of the Lagna be benefic and in the 7th in operating conjunction with a malefic in affliction with three malefics, then the child dies in the month.

जब चन्द्र लग्न से षष्ठ या अष्टम में हो और पापी ग्रह उसे दृष्टि दें, तो नवजात शिशु की शीघ्र मृत्यु होती है। यदि उसी स्थिति में चन्द्र पर शुभ ग्रह की दृष्टि हो, तो शिशु 8 वर्ष जीएगा। शुभ और पापी दोनों की दृष्टि हो तो केवल 4 वर्ष जीएगा। यदि लग्नेश शुभ हो और सप्तम में तीन पापियों से पीड़ित पापी के साथ सक्रिय युति में हो, तो शिशु उसी माह मर जाएगा।
