SUN-MARS CONJUNCTION IN ANGLES. If the Sun and Mars join in the Ascendant, the person will be bilious, be bold in war, short- tempered, will have injured body, be cruel, crafty and harsh. If the Sun and Mars join in the 4th, he will be devoid of relatives and wealth, be bereft of all kinds of happiness and be agitated. If the Sun and Mars join in the ?h, he will suffer from separation from his wife, be insulted on account of females and will be fond of moving in foreign places. If the Sun and Mars join in the 10th, the native will face failure in his undertakings, be a servant, be emotional, be a principal employee with the king and be always distressed.

विफलारम्भो भृतको नित्योद्विग्नः प्रधाननृपसेवी । भूतनयदिवाकरयोः कर्मणि गतयो्भवेद्विकलः ।।९।| यदि जन्म के समय लगन में सूर्यं व भौम हों तो जातक--पित्त प्रकृति, युद्ध में घोर, क्रोधी, भग्नदेही, क्रूर (पापी), धूर्त तथा कठोर होता है । यदि चतुर्थं भाव में सुर्य-भौम का योग हो तो जातक बन्धु-बान्धव तथा घन से रहित (वा मित्र से वा ऐश्वर्य से रहित), सव सुखों से हीन, दुःखी तथा सबसे द्रोह करने वाला होता है । यदि सप्तम भाव में सूर्य-भौम का योग हो तो जातक-स्त्री के विरहरूपी दुःख से अन्य मनस्क, स्त्री के कारण सर्वदा पराजय प्राप्त करने वाला व विदेश (परदेश) जाने में आसक्त होता है । यदि दशम भाव में सूर्य-भौम का योग हो तो जातक-कार्यारम्भ करने पर असिद्धि प्राप्त करने वाला, नौकर, सदा चिन्तित, प्रधान राजा का सेवी तथा अशान्त चित्त होता है
