YOGAS ADVERSE FOR EARS. Moon in 11th, 3rd, or Ascendant along with malefics causes defects of the ears. If she is aspected by malefics, the effect is along with birth (i.e. immediate). Should 9h and 5th be aspected, or occupied by malefics, ear defects at the time of birth exist. Malefics in 9th affect the right ear, while in 5th they damage the left ear. Benefics aspecting, or occupying these Houses cause on the other hand good in respect of ears.

कर्ण-विकार के योग। यदि चन्द्रमा एकादश, तृतीय अथवा लग्न में पापग्रहों के साथ हो, तो कर्ण-दोष होते हैं। यदि उस पर पाप-दृष्टि हो, तो कर्ण-दोष जन्म से ही (तुरन्त) होते हैं। यदि नवम और पञ्चम भावों पर पाप-दृष्टि हो या उनमें पापग्रह स्थित हों, तो जन्म-काल में ही कर्ण-दोष होते हैं। नवम भाव के पापग्रह दायें कान को, तथा पञ्चम के पापग्रह बायें कान को हानि पहुँचाते हैं। इन भावों पर शुभ-दृष्टि अथवा शुभ-स्थिति होने से, इसके विपरीत, कानों की भलाई होती है।
