If the 6th is occupied by the Ascendant Lord, death occurs in the year corresponding to Rasi concerned. If the occupant is the Lord of rising decanate, death occurs in the month corresponding to Rasi concerned and, if it is Lord of Navansa Lagna, the Rasi concerned causes death in so many days.

मारयति षोडशाहाच्छनेश्चरः पापवीक्षितो लग्ने । संयुक्तो मासेन तु वर्षाच्छुद्धस्तु मारयति ।१९।। यदि षष्ठ भाव में लग्न स्वामी हो तो पष्ठ भाव स्थित राशि के राशि तुल्य वर्ष में, ्रेष्काणपति हो तो राशि तुल्य मास में, लग्ननवांशपति षष्ठ भाव में हो तो राशितुल्य दिन में मरण होता है । यदि पापदृष्ट शनि लग्न में हो तो सोलह दिन में, पापयुत शनि होने पर १ मास में यदि पाप दृष्ट युत शनि न हो तो १ वर्ष में मरण कारण होता है
