If a person be born when sign Kanya is rising, his shoulders and arms will be drooping; he becomes respectable through others' houses and wealth. He is truthful and will speak kindly. His look is faint due to modesty. He is fond of sexual enjoyment. He knows the interpretation of Sastras and will have a very limited number of children.

यदि जन्म के समय कन्या लग्न हो या चन्द्रमा कन्या राशि में हो तो जातक सत्य में रत (सत्य का पालन करने वाला), प्रिय वचन बोलने वाला होता है। ऐसे व्यक्ति के नेत्रों में लज्जा रहती है, और सुरत-प्रिय होता है। कन्या-लग्न या राशि के जातक शास्त्रों को जानने वाले (विद्वान्) होते हैं। दूसरे के द्रव्य और दूसरों के मकान का लाभ उठाते हैं। इनके कन्धे और बाहु ढीले होते हैं, और पुत्र-सन्तति भी थोड़ी होती है।
