If a planet should occupy his own sign in a nativity, the person concerned will during the Dasa period of the said planet attain power and strength through the help of a wealthy personage or may himself become a lord, will stick up to his residence without moving anywhere, will acquire a new house as well as lands capable of yielding every kind of crop and will be honoured by his people. He may get back even lost articles.

अब स्वराशिगत ग्रह का फलादेश कहते हैं। यदि ग्रह अपनी राशि में हो तो उसकी दशा में (विशिष्ट पुरुष) के अनुग्रह से शक्ति, उच्च स्थिति और गृह का दृढ़ सुख होता है — अर्थात् ऐसा जातक आराम से अपने घर में बैठा रहता है। पहले के समय में घर में आराम से बैठना सबसे बड़ा सुख समझा जाता था। इसके अतिरिक्त स्वगृही ग्रह का फल यही होना चाहिए कि स्वगृह में बैठावे अर्थात् अपने घर में आराम से रक्खे, परदेश में न घुमावे। नवीन मकान प्राप्त हो और ऐसी नवीन भूमि प्राप्त हो जिसमें सब प्रकार की फसलें पैदा होती हों। स्वगृही ग्रह की दशा में मनुष्य लोक-सम्मान प्राप्त करता है, और यदि पहले की अनिष्ट महादशा में कोई वस्तु नष्ट हो गई हो तो वह भी उसे पुनः प्राप्त हो जाती है।
