Persons born in a royal family will become Kings if, at the time of birth, they are not born under any (Duryoga) or if the planets be not eclipsed by the Sun's rays. Three or more planets in Kendra positions at birth identical with their own or exaltation signs will make Kings of the persons born of royal families. Others under the above Yogas will only become their equals or sometimes Kings.

यदि कोई राजा के वंश में पैदा हो और उसकी कुण्डली में कोई दुर्योग न हो और न उसके ग्रह सूर्य के सान्निध्य के कारण अस्त हों तो वह राजा होता है। यदि तीन या तीन से अधिक ग्रह स्वराशि या उच्च राशि में स्थित होकर केन्द्र में हों और ऐसा जन्मकुण्डली वाला राज वंश में उत्पन्न हो तो वह राजा होता है। किन्तु यदि किसी साधारण वंश में उत्पन्न व्यक्ति की कुण्डली में यह योग हो तो वे राजा के समान वैभवशाली हो जाते हैं या कदाचित् राजा भी हो जाँय।
